Fact-Checkers Debunk GOP Obamacare Claim

The fact-check websites say "not so fast" to GOP claims that the Affordable Care Act kills jobs according to a CBO report.

Politifact.com gave House Speaker John Boehner and Fox News' Gretchen Carlson a "mostly false" rating for similar statements that the CBO report says the ACA will "kill 2.3 million jobs."
They made it sound as if jobs are going away because businesses don’t create them or because they eliminated existing jobs. The CBO report, though, was referring to workers who decide on their own to leave the workforce, because they don’t have to keep working a job just to keep their health benefits.
The Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler gave such claims "three Pinocchios."

Factcheck.org reaches a similar conclusion.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor falsely claims that a new report confirms the long-held Republican belief that “millions of hardworking Americans will lose their jobs,” because of the Affordable Care Act. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office report says more than 2 million people will decide not to work, or will decide to work less, due to the law – not that they will “lose their jobs.”
