The emotion around Ted Kennedy's appearance at the Democratic National Convention was real and memorable by any standard. Robert Kuttner has grasped the essence of Senator Kennedy's mark in history in a must-read piece subtitled as follows:
"The next time you hear that it is impossible for Barack Obama to work with Republicans and be a partisan Democrat, just point to the splendid example of Ted Kennedy."
This is important to remember for all citizens who---like those us at The Sensible Center---care far more about getting things done than who gets the credit.... and even less about partisanship.
